Iasonas Kampanis was born in 1985 in Athens (Greece), where he currently lives and works. He studied silversmithing and jewelry design at the Mokume Institute in Thessaloniki. Since 2007, he is working with painting, photography, digital media and scenographic works.
His work and research are mainly based on themes and motifs related to the Mediterranean culture and to the tradition of painting.
In 2020 he received the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Award by ARTWORKS.
He has collaborated and exhibited, among others, with the Breeder Gallery (Athens), Rebecca Camhi Gallery (Athens), curator Marina Fokidis, the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival and MoMus, KEIV (Athens), Victoria Square Project (Athens), kunsthallekleinbasel (Basel), architect Pulcheria Tzova, Onassis Stegi (Athens), director Maria Gaitanidi, actress Stacy Martin, Islington Arts Factory (London), Bishopsgate Institute (London), Lubomirov/Angus Hughes Gallery (London), Ligne Roset (London), Design Exchange magazine, London Print Studio (London), Christie’s Head of Prints & Multiples Murray Macaulay, Teloglion Art Foundation (Thessaloniki), performer Irina Osterberg, and zoologist Desmond Morris.
He has also been engaged in printmaking, Byzantine murals, film and theater productions, and educational programs.

Ο Ιάσoνας Καμπάνης γεννήθηκε το 1985 στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε αργυροχοΐα και σχεδιασμό κοσμήματος στην Σχολή Τεχνών Mokume της Θεσσαλονίκης. Από το 2007 ασχολείται με τη ζωγραφική, τη φωτογραφία, τα ψηφιακά μέσα και τα σκηνογραφικά έργα.
Το έργο και η έρευνά του βασίζονται κυρίως σε θέματα και μοτίβα που σχετίζονται με τον μεσογειακό πολιτισμό και την παράδοση της ζωγραφικής.
Το 2020 έλαβε το Βραβείο Καλλιτεχνικής Υποτροφίας του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος από την ARTWORKS.
Έχει συνεργαστεί και εκθέσει, μεταξύ άλλων, με την Breeder Gallery (Αθήνα), την Αίθουσα Τέχνης Ρεβέκκα Καμχή (Αθήνα), την επιμελήτρια Μαρίνα Φωκίδη, το 61ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης και το MoMus, το KEIV (Αθήνα), το Victoria Square Project (Αθήνα), την kunsthallekleinbasel (Βασιλεία), τη σκηνογράφο Πουλχερία Τζόβα, τη Στέγη Ωνάση (Αθήνα), τη σκηνοθέτη Μαρία Γαϊτανίδη, την ηθοποιό Stacy Martin, το Islington Arts Factory (Λονδίνο), το Bishopsgate Institute (Λονδινο), τη Lubomirov/Angus Hughes Gallery (Λονδίνο), το London Print Studio (Λονδίνο), τη Ligne Roset (Λονδίνο), το περιοδικό Design Exchange, τον διευθυντή του Christie’s Prints & Multiples Murray Macaulay, το Τελλόγλειο Ίδρυμα Τεχνών (Θεσσαλονίκη), την χορογράφο Irina Osterberg, και τον ζωολόγο Desmond Morris.
